Effective: 2026-04-18
Last updated: 2026-04-18
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the services provided by Mataki Labs LLC (“Husk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Wyoming limited liability company, including the husk.sh website, the install endpoint at install.husk.sh, the Husk open-source language and its documentation, and any related infrastructure (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Definitions
- “Services” means the husk.sh marketing website, the install endpoint at install.husk.sh, the Husk language source code hosted on GitHub, the Husk documentation, and any future module registry operated by Mataki Labs LLC.
- “Module Registry” means the future package registry at which signed Husk modules may be published and distributed, currently planned at github.com/husk-sh/registry.
- “Open-Source Software” means the Husk language runtime, toolchain, standard library, and related components made available under the Apache License 2.0.
2. Use of the Services
2.1 License Grant
The Husk language and its toolchain are licensed under the Apache License 2.0. Your use of the open-source components is governed by that license, not these Terms. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the website, install endpoint, and documentation.
2.2 Use Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Circumvent or disable any security features of the Services or any infrastructure supporting them
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any proprietary part of the Services (this restriction does not apply to open-source components licensed under the Apache License 2.0)
- Use the Services in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Resell or redistribute access to the install endpoint or module registry in a manner that misrepresents the origin of the software
- Use the Services to process or transmit any data that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) without prior authorization
- Engage in unauthorized scraping, crawling, or automated bulk downloading of content from the Services for purposes other than legitimate software distribution or research
- Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the integrity or performance of the Services
2.3 Install Endpoint Usage
The install endpoint at install.husk.sh serves a static installation script and redirects to signed release binaries hosted on GitHub. You may use this endpoint to install Husk on your systems. Automated bulk downloading of the installer for redistribution without proper attribution to the original source is prohibited.
2.4 Acceptable Use
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
3. Open-Source Software
3.1 Apache License 2.0
The Husk language runtime, toolchain, standard library, and related open-source components are made available under the Apache License 2.0. These Terms do not modify or supersede the rights and obligations established by that license.
3.2 Contributions
Contributions to the Husk open-source project are governed by the project’s Contributor License Agreement (CLA) and the Apache License 2.0. Contributing to the project does not grant you any rights beyond those provided by those agreements.
4. Module Registry
4.1 Future Service
The Husk Module Registry is a planned future service. When available, it will allow authors to publish and distribute signed Husk modules. Additional terms governing the module registry will be published before the registry launches.
4.2 DMCA / Copyright
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that content available through the Services (including any future module registry) infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to:
Mataki Labs LLC State of Wyoming Email: legal@husk.sh
Your notice must include: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement of good-faith belief that use is not authorized; (e) a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.
We will respond to valid notices as required by law. Counter-notifications may be submitted in accordance with the DMCA.
5. Modifications to the Services
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. For material changes, we will endeavor to provide advance notice where practicable. We will not be liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Services.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Husk IP
The husk.sh website, install infrastructure, documentation, trademarks, logos, and any proprietary technology not covered by the Apache License 2.0 are owned by Mataki Labs LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our trademarks or branding.
6.2 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Services, you grant us an unrestricted, irrevocable, perpetual license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. THE HUSK LANGUAGE AND TOOLCHAIN ARE OPEN-SOURCE SOFTWARE PROVIDED WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY BEYOND WHAT IS REQUIRED BY THE APACHE LICENSE 2.0.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HUSK, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Husk and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Any claim by a third party arising from your use, modification, or distribution of the Husk open-source software
- Any module or content you publish to the module registry in violation of these Terms or the AUP
10. Termination

We will provide reasonable notice before taking enforcement action except in cases of egregious violation or legal requirement.
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12 survive termination.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
11.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11.2 Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may initiate binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Wyoming. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding.

12. General Provisions
12.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Husk regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements.
12.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
12.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
12.4 Assignment
